10)Gertz WALKIN' Video   

   
Walkin' is an instructional video on walking bass technique. Used in conjunction the Walkin' Book and CD set (B344), it covers the various approach notes and scale type lines as well as fingerings for two octave scales and modes. Arpeggios and chord spellings also shown. There are over sixty examples of chord progressions to blues and jazz standards. The bass lines use the techniques described in the beginning and are melodically interesting. The video shows the author with his basses (acoustic and electric), demonstrating the bass line techniques described in the book along with various rhythmic articulations and embellishments. Walkin' Book and CD set (stock number B344) highly recommended.

Va fatto un appunto:

non tutti i video qui riportati sono video didattici! è quindi piuttosto naturale trovarvi più jazz che altro visto il maggiore interessa che può avere sul mercato un pezzo di Carter piuttosto che di Koussevitzky!

Della serie concerti e simili ne mancano anche parecchi molto interessanti che ho visto in giro, di Charlie Haden, ma anche di Edgar Meyer (per non andare solo sul jazz), se poi si va sui trii ce ne sono un bel po'...

P.S.: Vortex di Dave Holland è molto bello!
